Working for TEKsystems as a contractor is unlike any other recruitment company I have worked with. Once they place you with a client they are still in constant contact with you and the client separately. They are seeking feedback about how the placement is going and want details about projects you are working on, as well as if you have any time off (even if already approved by the manager you are working for). They also asked me to review other potential candidates and have calls with them to prepare them for interviews at the company I was placed at. Other recruiters I have worked for leave you to do you job once you are placed. They are nice and friendly, but I found this micromanagement and contact from a recruiter unusual and a ‘bit much’. Other people might find it useful.
