Pros
Work/Life balance is generally good. They bond frequently at bars after work, do other events together. You can have a lot of fun there and generally they are supportive of you personally.
Cons
Cliques - if you are in it's great. If you are not, you will find a getting into management and beyond quite difficult. How you work and play matters here. It's not just about tech smarts or even great business sense - above all it is about making and keeping friends and not rocking the boat. The tech part of IT suffers because of this though.
