Pros
Alliant Energy pays extremely well. As with any job where the pay “seems too good to be true” you should ask yourself why that is. Many times it’s because you are being compensated for a poor culture.
Cons
Somewhere along the line, the company became more focused on the bottom line and share price, and lost the focus on caring about the employees. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the customer, which will be good for business. Alliant Energy leadership’s focus is on taking care of the shareholders. It’s very financially focused at the expense of the employee.
