Pros
Working from home, not a lot of micromanaging
Cons
Work life balance is hard, you’re expected to work until things are done and they don’t care if that means evenings and weekends. People who do a great job get more work piled on them and people who skate by continue to do so with less expectations or workload. People who complain get raises and promotions and pay is not equitable in terms of titles, experience, or skill. If you want a promotion, you’re expected to perform the higher job title for a year or more to prove you deserve it (that’s asking someone to do a job without paying or recognizing them for it), it’s backwards. I’ve heard managers talk poorly about staff to other staff, it feels toxic but at least we can work from home now and away from that atmosphere.
