Pros

I have had the pleasure of working for this company in two different roles at different times. I had an approximate 9-year gap in between and wanted to come back because of a few major reasons I witnessed during that time (and can now confirm true). #1. The People. The passion that upper management has for their clients, employees, and their work has shown & grown over these years. The majority (if not all) of the people who work here are friendly and easy to talk to, including upper management. There is a lot of help from each department. It's easy to find help or a solution by asking if feeling "stuck". #2. Growth & Innovation. They have adapted to the current times and stresses of the industry and everyday life. They have changed their processes to be more efficient and better serve their clients. In turn, these processes help ease the minds of the employees at every step of the project. I also want to note that they have continued to adapt and grow with any obstacle that has come at them since my coming back on board. #3. The Culture. Allied knows how to be "fun" without being "unprofessional". I already touched on the people, but that's what drives the culture, to me. Whether you are working remotely or working in the office, there is a great feeling of ease and excitement in getting to "see" and speak to your co-workers. Allied has held weekly conversation sessions where we can talk about an array of topics, like the "office" culture, work concerns, our daily lives, and just get to know each other better, especially for those who are new or remote. There are training sessions held often, if not weekly. A lot of topics are covered, a few examples being "when happens when buildings move", foundations, assertive communication, and how to work with design professionals. There are also fun events throughout the year, some including games to win prizes. Allied seems to respect the work/life balance and gives chances to earn more time off.
