Pros

Mostly friendly coworkers and managers. It also helps pay the bills so ....

Cons

While the managers are friendly, this friendliness often gets in the way of proper business management. Also the two highest managers are married making the work environment confused and disorganized. There is no communication between the different departments and sometimes even within departments. Problems often arise and are just as often dismissed because they are time consuming for the management and they just do not want to deal with issues affecting customers as simple as sending an email to alert the customer to scheduled outages to bigger issues relating to customers being billed twice, or even three times, in one month. Raises are arbitrary as are work schedules. Training is not lacking; it is non existent which contributes to the chaos that is Allied Telesis. Management often has "new ideas" for the direction of the company and "suggestions" for the day to day operations of the store. These ideas and suggestions would be welcomed if the Management spent time in the store to help train or improve operations. Instead the "suggestions" are portions of Managements job they no longer wish to be responsible for because it takes time away from more important things, like talking for hours to technical support about the good ole days or wining and dining officers.

Pros

Fairly steady jobs despite the salary.

Cons

Management is failing to observe not only their product market, but also internal issues. A large quantity of employees are rounding retirement age with barely any new employees being brought on. Salary budget is painfully low so don’t expect anything but the minimum.
