Great for guards, but they have very little vision for the future of security. - Assistant Account Manager Allied Universal Employee Review

Pros

Lots of free online training available. Corporate culture is geared toward training and educating guards and fire-safety officers. Well developed philosophy of customer service.

Cons

A lot of managers are hired in because they are former cops. They don't have any management skills or experience and are not customer service oriented. The company is entirely focused on physical security and providing guards for manned posts. They are not competitive in their market with companies that offer integrated technical security services.

Pros

Some of the people you meet are cool and you make real good connections with the professional guards (not a lot, but i got lucky)

Cons

*Management doesn't answer their phones *Management don't want to help you address the issues onsite unless the manager of that site has an issue. *Rude and non responsive office. *Operations managers and client managers are useless. (Their assistants do a better job than they do) *The guards are not the priority to management and the company. Very childish and hostile environment. *A lack of structure, communication and support.
