Pros

Training opportunities are extensive. The company has invested in self-paced training partners such as LinkedIn, Harvard Review, and multiple on-line educators. All is free to employees.

Cons

(a) Managers want to control work and how it's done. (b) Feedback is encouraged but won't be taken so people stop sharing ideas (c) Experience is required to be hired but the experience isn't valued once on board. (d) Multiple groups doing the same work which results in individual work not being valuable (e) Associates pretend to collaborate and agree but actions aren't aligned. The 'mean-girl' mentality is alive and well at Allstate.

Pros

Flexible when it comes to how to get the work done. While working remote you don't have to waste time driving to location. You have the ability to work at night to catch up on workload if needed.

Cons

The strong achievers may end up getting more workload.
