Pros

PTO is nice, flexible work/life balance-I know it may not seem like it by my cons list, I do truly love the position I have, I love my work I do and do enjoy being part of my team. I am pretty good at what I do, and I am proud and feel accomplished of all I learned so thus far.

Cons

Pay and Recognition, My last yearly review, I have been in my department a little over 3 yrs now, I have been through 3 different managers just in the past year, Last year I was told that even though my numbers were Better than expected that I wouldn't receive that rating due to then "I would not have anything to work towards." I literally handle a whole regions certain lines of insurance due to my backup has been gone for an extended leave, I did everything my job requires and lots of extra responsibilities, I took on and really pushed my limits last year, literally almost drove myself mad in doingso. I figured I had a new manager so I had a better chance of crawling from the bottom base pay range, so I was going to do everything I could do be the best at what I do and then some. Well I was wrong, All of my hard work and taking on ridiculous workloads, also helping other regions with their work, along with also being involved in center wide projects, and cross training my team and other regions....and I got a few "inconsistent ratings" on my review this year. To add insult to injury my "manager" rated my numbers based on if I was already at the next tier... I have never recieved such poor treatment as an employee. Really feels impossible to make a decent wage here. Also to add to my list of things that do not make any logical sense, they are now raising the minimum for new hires, So now brand new people walking in the door will make the same wage as me. Me, An employee who trains my peers with 3 yrs under my belt. Now they are raising everyone to make at least that amount (myself included), but you know what else that means, No promotions this year. So I will be ranked with new hires, all my hard work and when it translates to what they value me at is I am valued the same as someone brand new, someone who doesn't know anything yet. You will never see more than a 3% increase on your annual review unless you are promoted to the next tier. So, unless you like being stuck in the same bottom level with little to no hope of growing or making competitive wage, look else where. There are multiple companies that will start you off making more doing exactly what I do.

Cons

- I haven't been micromanage this bad since working in a call center!!! - the tools you use to do your job feels like micromanagement. Its very slow moving as well. Every thing takes so long to load while you're trying to speed through your work. - you will receive an email about every single little thing you did wrong - you will not receive praise for anything - you will need to protect yourself by maintaining documentation of what was asked of you, because it will be later explained that it doesn't matter what was said, you should have researched it yourself (even when you're brand new). - when they are wronf about a reprimand they just gave you, don't expect a reply or an apology - they will make sudden changes that severely impacts your job at a moments notice and wonder why you are behind - I was advised a manageable workload is 20-30 claims. My whole team had 90+ claims. - The turn over rate is exceptionally high. Over the course of a year I started 7 people quit within. 3 additional people were fired. - you're going to beg for help and they aren't going to help you, and they are going to tell you that YOU are the problem. - currently, all the hires are being shielded from the hot mess. They are trying to change things by pushing all the people who suffered through the mess they created to put a positive spin on the job and I guess preserve moral. - the job itself wouldnt be difficult (because the work is relatively easy), but its VERY disorganized. You will feel like you work in a call center, but this time, you have to return voicemails, emails and text messages. - 2nd worse job experience in my entire life - AND THE PAY IS BELOW INDUSTTY STANDARDS!!! There are no bonuses.
