Pros
Alpha does its job very well--taking care of adults with developmental disabilities. I am constantly blown away by the kindness and commitment that people dedicate to their work. I have felt very welcomed and supported, and see a deep sense of purpose in everything that's done here, even in the midst of a pandemic. There are 800+ employees, most of whom are caretakers that don't have company emails, and the finer details of announcements are often are lost in translation because they have to trickle-down to the caretaker level by paper or word-of-mouth. There are MANY bilingual employees, and it would be a wonderful idea to tap into that to help communicate critical information to staff who are non-native English speakers. Intentions are good, and the work that is done is good.
Cons
The work is not easy. However it is very rewarding.
