"Higher Ups" provide little to no support to zone leaders. There is no room for growth. They do not listen to the zone leaders. They expect a lot and yet give very little back. You run out of supplies too easily, and what is provided most of the time is sub par. Children that are discipline issues and oftentimes a danger to other kids are not dealt with appropriately. There were many times I as a leader was physically hit or kicked by a child and little to nothing was done, and the the children are still in the program. The most disheartening thing is that as a leader you feel like you and what you do does not matter. There is also no freedom as a leader in the curriculum....you are pretty much micromanaged and unfortunately not all kids are alike, and sometimes you need to be more flexible. That is pretty much frowned upon. Daily, I could have as many as 30 kids in my care, with the daily average being 22-27. Very much is required of you, yet very little is given. I would not recommend this program to parents looking for afterschool care or to future employees.
