Pros

-Working with the kids can be very rewarding. -It's a more entertaining job than retail or office work -Hours are very flexible (especially if you're in school or have other obligations) -HR is actually helpful if you have a serious issue with another employee.

Cons

-The pay is not equal and not great. Someone who started at $10 5 months ago can expect a new hire to be getting $14. -A lot of drama and gossip between co-workers and management. -The hours can awkward if you have nothing to do during the school day. -You might have to work with kids with special needs with zero training or help. -The parents have a 50/50 chance of being the bane of your existence here. -The "curriculum" is not balanced for all grades. Kindergarteners are expected to do the same project as a 5th grader. -Management and upper management sometimes does things under the table and expects you to keep quiet.

Pros

Very very kind and understanding management. I really like them as people. I've heard through the grapevine that there is dissonance among them sometimes but maybe that's normal, idk i've never been in a middle/upper management position. I've always been treated with kindness and empathy for my situations, and they will try to reach a middle ground as long as it doesn't come out of their pocket. Cool career advancing opportunities that I just never took advantage of.

Cons

OH MY do they suck at communication. Not all of them, but a couple ones yea for sure. They will always prioritize their pocket against your wallet. If you are looking for a full time director position this one is NOT it and barely pays my bills. It worked for some people but just didn't for me. In the interview for a director position ask them to be upfront with the hours specific to the location they are hiring you for. Maybe email it to them after idk just know that you will never get full time 40 here.
