Pros

- Cool workspace

- Benefits were alright

- Some really great talent

- Working with some cool companies in the area

- Progress from some of the feedback here has been addressed and attempted to be fixed

- Depending on the position, it would be a good starter job to get some experience

Cons

- Looking at some of the past reviews, some of the issues were still persisting. Some things were better than what previous reviews said.

- Definitely a "drink the kool-aid" kind of company. The company wants you to live and breathe AG. Maybe good for some people for the community-feel aspect?

- Communication between the departments seemed a bit broken, but was attempting to be fixed by having mediation sessions tagged as personal and company growth.
--If a person was frustrated, angry, disappointed, anxious or any negative emotion towards another person, it was suggested to push those feelings down and put on a positive face instead. I suppose its preference, but repeatedly doing this can make a person come off as insincere, feigned, or disingenuous.

- Not sure how much you can advance within the company. It seems the management team is pretty set.

Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated and helpful. Our people and our culture are very important to us. As a family business our employees are an extension of our family. They are the backbone of who we are as a company and we wouldn’t be successful without them. Not a minute passes in the day/week we don't think about our employees from a mentorship and future growth standpoint. We strive to be a high-performing team dedicated to continuous improvement and the success of our clients. With this said, we are constantly looking for ways to learn and grow. Our culture is no exception. It is a work in progress and continues to evolve with the needs of our team. Every year we participate in The Best Places to Work employee engagement survey where we ask our team to assess how they feel about our culture and leadership. We take this feedback seriously and take purposeful action to improve how we engage, develop and compensate our people in ways such as: • Implemented targeted development plans to help individuals grow personally and professionally as well as diversify the capabilities of our team. • Improve communication and collaboration across departments through ongoing leadership and team development activities. • Provide professional coaching at the team and individual level. • Plan regular employee engagement and team bonding activities throughout the year, both in the office and out. • Regularly recognize the successes of our team members, both informally and formally. • Foster an environment of openly discussing mistakes to learn and grow. We are a flat organization that empowers leadership, ownership and transparency across all levels. Our team members have the opportunity to build a diverse portfolio of skills by taking on a variety of key roles and projects. In addition, they also gain the critical operational knowledge and core communication skills it takes to run a profitable business. We recently added two new people to the existing Leadership team who have proven themselves and digging into promising areas of growth. And lastly we recently promoted one of our own out of shipping/QC into Production Supervisor to grow one of our own who has time and time been voted by their peers most valuable employee and strongest attitude. We want people to enjoy working and spending time together. We also realize that each person is unique with different interests and needs. We value this and will continue to foster an environment where people are able to bring their unique self and talents to the team, making us even stronger that we were the day before. I sincerely regret that your concerns and frustrations weren't improved upon while at AlphaGraphics. We wholeheartedly try to get feedback and talk to our employees with an open door policy at all times. We welcome all good ideas to help respective work experience improve and wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Working as a Graphic Designer at AlphaGraphics was a positive experience overall. One of the biggest advantages was having direct access to the CEO and leadership team, which made communication straightforward and allowed ideas and solutions to move quickly. The environment is fast paced and driven by real production demands, giving designers exposure to a wide variety of projects and practical problem solving. While the pace is steady, deadlines were generally reasonable and achievable. As with most print shops, occasional last minute emergencies happen, but they are considered part of the industry rather than the exception. Overall, AlphaGraphics is a good fit for designers who enjoy a hands on environment, working closely with production, and being involved in both creative and operational aspects of the business.

Cons

The main challenge is the level of multitasking required. If you prefer focusing on a single project at a time, you may find the environment demanding. Some situations require the entire team to come together to solve production or operational issues, which means stepping away from the computer and assisting in other areas of the business for a few hours when needed. Flexibility and a team first mindset are important to succeed in this role.
