Pros

no pros, it's all terrible.

Cons

If you read through the company responses to reviews, you will see blatant gaslighting. Leadership has no ability to take the constructive feedback they love to dish out. If you complain about working conditions, they just say "this job isn't for everyone" rather than taking accountability for how horribly they treat their employees. Make no mistake - you are a disposable cog in the machine that they will throw out once you become too much of a bother. To hear that the company went back on their promise of a 3-2 model shocked me. Many people decided to come to AlphaSights or stay because of this model. The ethics and morality of leadership make me sick to my stomach. Your promises matter. Your words matter. Calling your employees lazy because you are terrible at forecasting through a recessionary period is beyond insulting ton the hard work they put in. Cutting performance pay during a recession in the most expensive city in the country is disgusting. I've also heard about more and more people getting fired. The company would rather tell over half of the staff they are underperforming, than re-evaluate what it means to do a good job at this point in time. This isn't an early-stage start up anymore. You can't expect the same growth that we saw in the late 2010's. College students reach out weekly hoping to learn about AlphaSights - I tell them to run the other way. I do everything I can to help current employees leave. I can already anticipate the company response "Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the intensity of the work can make the hours feel challenging, and that this role is not for everyone." Let's be clear here - the job itself is not intense. You are a secretary (in fact, most of the tasks are easier than that of a secretary). It's the unrealistic demands at all hours of the night that are intense. It's the 60+ hour weeks for ~$20/hr that's intense. I can't express my concern for this company and their employees enough. I hope people try to unionize and gain back some quality of life. It's unfortunate that AlphaSights is taking advantage of the macro-economic environment to this extent to hold workers hostage. I cannot wait to have enough experience under my belt that I can remove this from my resume - I never want to be associated with such a toxic company.

Pros

AlphaSights has an incredible culture and a highly supportive environment. I recently celebrated four years with the firm, and I've truly enjoyed the combination of high support and high performance. I have a great deal of autonomy in my role, work alongside an exceptional team, and continue to learn and grow every day. I'm so grateful that I started my career at AlphaSights.

Cons

I've truly enjoyed my time. N/a

Pros

Rapid Progression & Recognition: Performance is directly rewarded here. If you hit your goals and show drive, the path to promotion and career growth is transparent and fast. Strong Team Culture: The team energy is fantastic. Everyone is highly collaborative, supportive, and commercially minded, which makes for a great working environment. High Autonomy: From day one, you are given real ownership over your projects (like leading recruitment events, managing candidates, and driving partnerships), allowing you to grow your commercial skills rapidly.

Cons

High Velocity & Pressure: The work is very fast-paced with strict timelines and high-volume expectations. It is not a place where you can coast, and you need to be comfortable working under commercial pressure. Resilience is Key: Sourcing and recruiting require a great deal of resilience. You have to be comfortable with rejection and persistent in finding creative solutions to hit your targets.
