Fulfillment Center- do not apply - Fulfillment Center Worker Alta Resources Employee Review

Pros

Bosses can be flexible about the time a worker leaves. During the months surrounding Christmas, the option for overtime becomes common The company is growing in leaps and bounds but the outlook for a few major clients of the fulfillment center is not great

Cons

Work in the fulfillment center is almost universally hated by workers, the question "are you having fun yet" is sarcastically asked almost once a day, depending on location. Expect mind numbing unfulfilling work even after promotions. Most new hires (maybe 2/3rds) end up fired after a few weeks because they do not hit company efficiency standards. Only experienced workers can expect to work a full 40 hours a week although that changes with season. Depending on the department, management ranges from incompetent but well-meaning to competent but uninvolved. Most new hires for Alta Resources- especially entry level- are considered temp seasonal and do not receive benefits (health/ 401k) for the first 9 months or year of employment.

Pros

Dress code. Program directors who care.

Cons

Many new hires were paid more per hour than many of us that were there for years. Insurance was not very good.
