Pros
Flexibility in choosing your preferred schedule, awesome co-workers who organize fun activities and make working enjoyable, the people are great to work around, ability to pursue or advance into other roles, opportunity to learn at your own pace within reason, some of the leadership understand what is means to serve others vs relish in their limited power. The environment is stress-free, relaxed, with some professional courtesy.
Cons
Often e-mailed communications from leadership can be unprofessional and lack proper business etiquette or too informal (ie... void of grammatical skill, professionalism and decorum). Information needed to perform duties accurately needs to be communicated more seamlessly. Information is filtered down and fragmented at times causing confusion. Most of the roles are not permanent full-time with benefits. Therefore, you have no assurance that you will remain employed after open enrollment ends. You are informed of your temporary status immediately upon employment.
