Pros
The base pay isn’t that bad- if you’re in college, $16 dollars an hour starting out can be manageable. The discount is pretty nice, 30% for “omg items” and 50% for clothing.
Cons
f you expect to live off of this job, think again. I was hired for full time, and at times, I barely had enough money for gas. Hours are extremely finicky, some weeks you’re good, the next, maybe 4 hours total. Management is extremely clique-y, if you’re not in the “it group” you will never climb the ladder, no raises, no promotions, no acknowledgement, they’ll talk about you and everything you do wrong with each other. The girls working here are often pitted against each other and stressed to meet their sales goals, which are insane and unmanageable because the do not take into account the day or traffic or weather- if barely anyone comes in due to weather or something, you're still held accountable for not selling 3000 dollars worth of clothing to people who are not even there. Could have just been the location I was at- but the store was rampant with shoplifting, which we were also expected to discourage magically. Beware Altar’d State. For a company that preaches for the lord, they seem to care most about money, sales, goals, micromanagement and not at all about their employees. Don’t even get me started on the new uniform. Why do they want us to look like washed up business men?
