Cons
Management is extremely unsupportive and only wants jobs to get done. They make people work insane hours without making it worth it. The injury risk is way too high. Whether is be broken equipment or yourself being exhausted from already walking 5 miles that day, there is always something crazy happening with animals out or animals in poor health without being helped. They are always understaffed because people leave at a higher rate than they are hired. This effects the high load of daily work that needs to be done, and this effects the animals' welfare. Most people leave because they mentally cannot handle the work load and toxic working environment. This job is most definitely a stepping stone, because management will not help you succeed to progress higher within the company. Those who learn to "work the system" stay and end up being a part of the toxic workplace environment. 10/10 would not recommend. Take your talents to lab that will appreciate them.
