Pros
Free lunch good way to get your foot in the door
Cons
Everyone you work with is overworked and underpaid. The work environment is toxic and there seems to be a disconnect between the research associates and the supervisors. There had been many times where the RAs have been scolded for complaining about being overworked. All of the equipment is broken. This causes so many avoidable injuries but have no fear there is always the promise of new equipment on the horizon. The hours are insane, especially when the company keeps losing staff. People have to work 55 hour weeks just because. The company keeps approving new studies but doesn't seem to factor in the staff it takes the perform those studies. There will be days where people aren't scheduled lunches or breaks. Then on top of that expected to stay late to help get tasks done.
