Pros

You learn what a fast paced environment is. I liked my role because I was able to design parts and trucks. Process improvement events teach you a lot about processes and how to make them better. They pay fairly; if someone new joins, you will not be paid less than them.

Cons

Management is awful. They have no interest in growing you and then get mad when you want to leave. The managers have huge egos and recycle among departments so you continue to see the management letting the people and the plant down. This is an awful place for a woman to work. I’ve been objectified, physically pushed, made fun of for my acne, yelled at and embarrassed in front of a gang of men- all this and more. I was the only female on my team. Of the plant, I was 1/3 female engineers. Today, there is only 1. They don’t hire women, but honestly if you are one, save yourself from the hurt. Let it be a boys club. I’m a tough woman but these men really broke me. There’s a huge lack of trust on site. The worst example is that people call anonymously to the HR hotline because they don’t trust HR. I’ve heard multiple times that people don’t trust HR. Sad.

Pros

Not much that stood out positively during my experience.

Cons

In my experience, training and advancement opportunities felt inconsistent and sometimes influenced by internal relationships rather than performance. I also felt that workload expectations were not always applied fairly. After many years with the company, I was ultimately terminated in a situation I personally felt was unfair.
