Pros
Solid profitable parent company that takes mature businesses and make them more profitable by driving efficiencies. Very strong "Core Values" that drive their business = transparency and predictability
Cons
Very strong "Core Values" that drive their business = feels a bit 'cult-ish'. There seems to be more focus after acquisition on culture than the business itself. I would hazard a guess that "living the values" is more critical for advancement that actual business acumen or technical competence. Drive for efficiency seems to also be a drive to devalue (potentially eliminate) infrastructure items. Focus on each product as a Core Business is healthy - just don't neglect infrastructure and risk reduction in quality, security, and safety. I assume (but hope to be proven wrong) that "drive for efficiency" will also mean little to no salary increases beyond meager cost-of-living baselines.
