Pros

- Good product. Our top customers do find Alteryx performs excellently and occupies a niche that is not met by other vendors in the space. - Good compensation. OTE is good and if you're successful in your role you can make a good amount of money, especially considering the young age of many reps. - Management tries hard to foster an open and collaborative culture. I find that everyone I have worked with is easy to get on with and professional, as well as good at their job.

Cons

- Tough to sell, not a "sexy" product and does require commitment from clients. Requires sales reps who understand complex sales cycles and technical requirements. - Almost entirely self-generated leads - inflexible sales processes, though this is reportedly being addressed as a priority by management. - Whilst not "hire and fire" this is certainly not a job for someone who needs 6 - 12 months to get up to speed. - High sales rep attrition - Currently going through lots of changes, loss of leadership, redundancies, territory and role reassignments

Thanks for sharing your thoughtful feedback - when people like you take time to share your input, it affirms the value of Glassdoor both for employees, candidates and companies, and for that I wanted to express my gratitude. I agree with you that the prominence of our product in being able to help solve customer's toughest challenges is the most important piece of our overall value proposition, surpassed only perhaps by the quality of the Alteryx employees who design, build, market, sell and service those products every day. Thanks for your feedback on how to ensure we're optimizing our employees' time - you're right that front-loading all training in Q1 can make it tough to have a fast start to the year, and we're working on how to further our culture of learning so that those activities are ongoing throughout the year and more manageable from a time perspective. Please keep the feedback coming! Thanks, David

Pros

-Strong technical talent and knowledgeable colleagues who genuinely know the analytics/data space -Product still has real technical depth and a loyal user base, but the move th AlteryxOne is causing renewal issues -Historically solid brand recognition in the data/analytics community

Cons

-Repeated rounds of layoffs have left remaining staff stretched thin and anxious about job security -Since the PE acquisition, decisions feel driven by short-term financial targets rather than product or people -Leadership has changed multiple times in a short window, with little continuity or clear long-term vision communicated downward Trust between employees and management has eroded — morale is low and turnover (voluntary and involuntary) has hollowed out institutional knowledge -Culture has shifted from collaborative to guarded; people are protecting themselves rather than working openly -Communication from leadership during restructuring has felt reactive rather than transparent
