Pros
Relatively easy work. Dispatch/team leader available 24/7. Health insurance offered even for PT. Lots of downtime depending on your shift. Cars you drive are new. Shifts available for pickup easily for part time. Most passengers are very nice, some tip cash. Monthly ride credit given after 60 days or so.
Cons
(LA branches only) Close to minimum wage (outside of Friday and Saturday prime time). Unrealistic time expectations to clean your car at times. Hard to find restrooms between 10 pm - 6 am. Not as flexible as advertised. You’re under surveillance the entire time. Equipment fails regularly (phone: map and communication). No uniform allowance given. Can only drink out of alto thermal. Very little room for advancement. Customers cannot tip on app. Customers are charged 18% gratuity but drivers don’t get a penny of it directly (it goes for raffles, bonuses, pizza parties etc). Some lead drivers/managers can be rude at times. Branch manager is unresponsive to emails and phone calls. No place to hangout before or after shift.
