Pros
The unit I worked in was very open with company information. This made it easier to do your job. There were regular meetings where senior management would share information about the company performance; trends in the marketplace that would likely affect the company and employees were asked for their thoughts during these meetings. During group meetings people truely listened to what you were saying. You were judged by what your said and not how you said it (within reason). The company made you feel part of the family. During offsites Mike Szmanczyk would fly down, if even for a couple of hours, to make an appearance.
Cons
As with other companies, some employees received better opportunities than others. The sales force (TSMs) have a difficult job.
