Pros
We're working on something huge at Altruist. It's a great feeling knowing that the work you do can directly impact the lives of millions of people in a positive (and serious) way. In addition to feeling like the work you do is of value, you're surrounded by brilliant people to learn from and grow with. It's a humble, kind, down-to-earth team that's a joy to work with. Your peers appreciate the work you do and you're recognized for your accomplishments. Jason is the dopest CEO around. He's been an amazing mentor and friend. The cherry on top is that amazing office and location. It's truly a joy to come into work each day (if you love your craft and want to do work that matters).
Cons
It's a startup so there are growing pains in finding the best ways to collaborate and get things done efficiently. But the team is patient and moves forward quickly, recognizing problem areas and fixing them. You also won't find the same amenities at a large corporation, but for an early-stage startup, the comp package and perks are impressive.
