Pros
Altruist was my dream place to work until a few months ago. The values really resonated with me and I still love my colleagues. The executive team I have interacted with is down to earth and approachable.
Cons
Jason the CEO decided that he wanted to bring the company back into the office. He gave no rational explanation of how that would benefit the company. Business is doing extremely and the entire company is firing on all cylinders so the reason cannot be business related. Jason's decision has impacted so many people who will find it tough to get a new job in this economy but I don't think he cares. The team worked incredibly hard over the last few years because we believed in the mission and in him but we were naive, after working so hard at so much personal sacrifice the company couldn't care less. This is not new in corporate America but I thought Altruist was different.
