Pros

401k match, most of the people (individual contributors that you'd actually be getting stuff done with) are delightful to work with

Cons

The reviews that make the cons entirely about "the fast-paced environment isn't for everyone" are laughable. I've worked at a couple other startups and at no other company have I seen such micromanagement, petty infighting, and lack of self awareness from an executive team. From my experience, it starts from the top down with the CEO and founder's need to be seen as a "revolutionary" in the space. That affects the company he runs when it's really about his appearance. Return to office was handled poorly, with no data to back it up. If you're interviewing for a job here -- try to get in touch with some people who are currently at Altruist or left recently outside of your interview process. Not saying you shouldn't take the job, but so you're not sold a dream in the hiring process that will turn sour real quick.
