Pros
I haven't found one thing that is positive about them yet, but if I do, I'll revise this. I'm not holding my breath though.
Cons
They are just now taking over the contract at the AFB I am at. What is the first thing that they do? They go in and cut ALL of our supervisors' wages and cut ALL of the exempt employee's wages (by thousands)!!! Then, they turn around and tell all of us in the Union that they are going to do away with our pension plan!!! What the h*e*double hockey sticks??? Then, their so-called 'insurance' is twice as expensive as what we were already paying. None of our Supervisors/exempt employees get ANY benefits, and they're wanting to get rid of ours too. Our benefit package has been in place for over 15 years and they knew about it when they were bidding the contract. So they knew going in that it was there, they had to account for it in their bid, and now they're going to try to screw us out of it??? BS!! That is about as dishonest as you can get. It looks like they make their money by screwing their employees. Isn't that nice??? How do companies like this continue to exist and to get contracts? They have so many claims against them with the Labor Board.... just do an internet search and you'll find it. So anyway, now we are being forced to strike to try to keep our benefits. Meanwhile, the AFB we service is going to be without technicians/workers to take care of all of their systems, and this is a very large and very important base! If I were the government I would kick them back off the contract. It's not like we are asking for something extreme.... we just want to keep what we have, maintain our ability to make an honest living, and hopefully someday be able to retire. Alutiiq just wants everyone to work for nothing while they rake in the cash. The government needs to quit giving contracts to companies like them.
