      Pros

      Higher end of spectrum for pay and some the managers can be fun. Very inclusive for minority populations. Flexible scheduling.

      Cons

      Lack of professionalism, especially from some of the higher ups. Frequent breaks of labor laws and always followed with a haphazard “we didn’t know”- they didn’t even have bathrooms for us! We were working 10 hour shifts with no bathroom facilities. Plenty of health and safety violations too. My favorite- being contacted by the IRS. The IRS was investigating the company plus they messed up my taxes. I had contacted the company earlier letting them know they were filing things correctly. The company totally knew what they were doing. Super sketchy. Alutiiq is a walking law suit. It’s not worth the extra money.

      Ever since McCallie was sold to the Alutiiq Corporation, McCallie Associates reputation in the defense industry has tanked. I reported to the President of the company as my direct report, and had next to NO interaction aside from approving my timesheets. No performance or feedback reviews. Just a butt in a seat that generates revenue. A prime contractor ceased doing business with them locally, and I was discharged when the contract expired on 30 April. They now have no contracts in the Omaha/Bellevue DoD space, that I know of. I'm fortunate to have found a job since then, but found out that I wasn't covered by the companies 1 month insurance at all, since they end coverage on the 30th of each month. Best advice - do NOT apply to this company. The former owner of the company (may he RIP) would be livid to see what's been done to the company he founded and its ruined reputation among DoD prime contractors.
