      Pros

      Substantial Benefits for a contracting company. Willingness to work with contract employee's to find the next job and be a champion on their behalf. Fair pay. Very hands off as long as the Government Agency likes your work.

      Cons

      Contracting company - very limited with what they can do by the Government. Lack of developmental opportunity, though this goes the same with all contracting jobs in my experience.

      Ever since McCallie was sold to the Alutiiq Corporation, McCallie Associates reputation in the defense industry has tanked. I reported to the President of the company as my direct report, and had next to NO interaction aside from approving my timesheets. No performance or feedback reviews. Just a butt in a seat that generates revenue. A prime contractor ceased doing business with them locally, and I was discharged when the contract expired on 30 April. They now have no contracts in the Omaha/Bellevue DoD space, that I know of. I'm fortunate to have found a job since then, but found out that I wasn't covered by the companies 1 month insurance at all, since they end coverage on the 30th of each month. Best advice - do NOT apply to this company. The former owner of the company (may he RIP) would be livid to see what's been done to the company he founded and its ruined reputation among DoD prime contractors.
