Pros

* Hybrid Schedule Available for most staff * Number of Holiday / PTO days per year is average; acceptable but could be higher. * Progressive / Inclusive company that welcomes and accepts individuals [LGBT, POC, Disabled / Handicapped Individuals, etc] * Management focuses on promoting within company before outside sources. * Great office location; near FrontRunner stop, bus routes, Jordan River trail / bike access, and many restaurants within 1-2 miles. * Office perks; Gym access, Pickleball Courts

Cons

* Full Remote positions unavailable at this location, at this time. * High Volume, Fast Paced environment. If you are unable to keep up with high demands / volume / queue, I would consider if this role is a good fit. I enjoy what I do and find it manageable, but it's not for everyone. * Short Staffed; Great customer service is something the company strives for, and I believe a majority of the employees want to provide that to our clients. However, with the combination of high volume, processing instructions, and low staff, the quality of handling the claims will go down. * Pay Rate; In short, AmTrust is a multi-billion-dollar company. The pay is decent for our area / location, but with increased demand in volume, it would be nice to ensure workers are provided an increase in wages. Or at the very least, possible a bonus structure. NOTE: I still have not been here a full year, so I am unsure how the annual review process will be handled.

Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Managers are helpful.

Cons

Rolling out an incomplete new operating system was a horrible idea. Creates additional work for adjusters. The processes being implemented are hindering the ability to effectively close claims. Adjusters are being told to do more with less every day. Claim counts average 180 to 200 for the last 6 months with no relief in sight. Hybrid work was promised at 2 home and 3 in office. That was recently revoked and it is now mandatory 4 days in office. With gas prices what they are, that really hurts. Corporate management seems to be focused more on obtaining #1 status and bringing in the big bucks than finding a way to relieve the stress on their employees. Mental health is non existent and if you aren't putting in 50+ hours a week there is no way to stay on top of your work load. Even then you will feel like you are barely treading water. New NICE phone system is for call centers-not claim adjusters. Not a lot of advancement opportunities unless you are someone's pet. Benefits are mediocre at best.
