Pros

Flexible hours, encouraging management, quick tech and supervisor support when needed, esp on weekends I'm working with two lovely families as a private duty nurse and am happy with the flexibility of the job and sense of meaningful work

Cons

Benefits - one week accrued time off per year is unacceptable Wage - negotiate upon hire for what you believe you're worth, be willing to take position at another agency who may pay better

Pros

Close to the area I live

Cons

If you work for one of their big money maker clients, you will be expected to do things that are unsafe and/or not part of your job duties. You will be expected to take care of up to 5 total care trach/vent kids by yourself. If the other nurse has daycare problems and brings her own three kids to work with her so she doesn't miss a days work, you will be expected to help take care of her kids as well as your patients. You will be expected to help babysit other kids in the house who do not need nursing. If you raise concerns to Amazing Care about these situations, you are let go for not being a team player.
