Pros
Refer to the cons section below. I will say the only pro is that you grow close with your girls.
Cons
This studio alone is filled with the most hardworking stylists, accompanied by the most loving front desk girls I've ever seen in my life. Perfectly hand picked, every single employee that was hired for the entry level position. Management, the corporation, all of it - horrible. Put it this way. The management is the cool kids table you'll be invited to for a day because you match with them and you're equally as narcissistic. Added bonus, you are entirely blindsided to the fact that your work is, and never will be compensated. But that's okay, because they will bribe you and tell you how great you are until a true emergency comes up. Whether it's your health, a family emergency, or even as minuscule as, 'No, I'm sorry I can't pick up an extra shift this week. My hours are capped and I won't be paid overtime.' Guess who's no longer allowed at the cool kids table? You guessed it. From then on, you are looked down upon. You're brought into the office where they interrogate you as well as degrade you for 'not doing your job' every other week. Or? They'll avoid you and dodge your calls even if it's an emergency. Corporate is another big joke. Let's start off with the basics. If you've ever heard of a pyramid scheme, that's the best way to describe this company. They create a glue that has a lifespan of 2 weeks to stick on your lashes. They say it has to do with the retention. Wrong. It has to do with the ingredients used in the glue. They make it so the clients HAVE to come back more than a few times in a month. Why? Because it's a pyramid scheme! They have products that say that they extend the lifespan of your extensions. In some cases it does work, most cases no. So now, if you're someone with 'poor retention' and want a full look - go somewhere else. Anywhere but Amazing Lash Studio. You will be dropping $200 by the end of the month. Don't sign on with any membership. Another pyramid scheme tactic! As a former employee of about 10 months, I have truly seen it all. I've had clients screaming in my face, I've seen them cry out of disappointment due to our horrible computer system deleting appointments. I've seen mold growing on tweezers that we're just used on a clients eyes - who returned with a bulging stye. But management blamed the client for being dramatic and decided not to trouble shoot any problems. They made me and my front desk girls scrub the disgusting floors with bleach and acetone with improper equipment. Some girls quit because they couldn't handle it. I stayed because I was part of the 'cool kids table' for a while until my manager hired his life long best friend to knock me out of my position. The stylists are under appreciated for their work. There's 3 stylists I can name off the top of my head that I admire so much for their hard work and dedication, that the light is slowly dying from their eyes due to how everything's setting into place. One of them in particular is my now best friend and someone I can call family. The other one is a hardworking stick-to-the-books woman that I will always thank for a shoulder to cry on when things got bad. Also someone I admire so dearly to push myself every day even when it all gets so bad. The final one is currently not with the company anymore, she got out while she could. I called her my work mom, and she only lives 15 minutes from my house. A single parent working 2 jobs while also still in the middle of a miserable divorce. God bless her and her family. God bless every single one of the girls at Amazing Lash Studio that had made such an impact on my life, and giving me advice to carry on for the rest of my life. As for management, favoritism is very ugly. I hope you 4 can see passed the jäger shots and $100 bottles of grey goose to see what 'a real business' is like.
