relocation/cost of living pay adjustments are made through RSU and not through base pay. not all EA roles offer relocation benefits, and if they do, they only provide the minimum amount. Company ERGs and "Earths best employer" LP are a PR front. most managers dread needing to keep their DEI quota's filled, or ignore it completely. worst, too many managers will pigeon hole their "DEI hire" in their role or keep a revolving door on their designated DEI role instead of investing on those individual's growth. If you have a manager who's a true DEI champion, you're lucky. 2023/2025-26 layoff culture has turned the whole vibe into survival/impending doom. whole teams just disappear, and you're left not knowing who's actually left.
