Pros
It's a great job and has a lot of benefits. Not to mention the stocks they give you. The pay is good for around here. I make 14.50 for my shift others make 12 and 12.50.. 12 hour shifts three days a week. But we get all the benefits of full time employees.. 29.9 hours of paid vacation a year.. 36 hours of paid personal time. And up to 80 hours a year of unpaid time off.. you get 20 hours on the 1st of January, April, July and October..
Cons
Long hours and there is no union so they can do anything they want. When I first started you were suppose to get a fifty cent raise after the first six months. They changed it to twenty five cents.. and they just raised our production rate by twenty five units an hour.. it was 95 now it's 120.. I don't have a problem making even that rate but a lot of my fellow employees do.. oh and it's extremely hot in there no AC and they took our personal fans because someone in another building hurt themselves and you get a 15 minute break and that includes the two minutes it takes to get out of the building the minute you have to wait in line at the metal detectors another minute if you set them off and 2 minutes to walk back.. so really you get like 9 minute break.
