Pros
Every business line is hungry for SDE-II level employees however in every debrief (discussion about leveling), it’s a down leveling 80 percent of the time which doesn’t contribute recruiting metrics that much. Also they lowball your base salary and give you more stock instead which isn’t great when the market tanks
Cons
I’m spending half the time doing my managers job for them (in depth training, mentoring, etc) but get paid like an entry level person
