Covertly denying their dependents medical benefits after promising to provide those benefits Congratulations Amazon!! you have unlocked an achievement of becoming the Earth’s Best Employer. Kudos to you for chucking out your leadership principles out of the door. Hope you stop the farce of upholding lofty principles when your leadership clearly does not believe in those If anyone is applying for Amazon, please think again and simply opt out. You will be much better without this job. They have no care for their employees and they only care about making profits for investors. Senior management has no clue whatsoever and yet its the lower level employees who suffer. None of the top management was impacted by layoffs, none of them even saw a reversal in their bonuses or cuts to their already inflated salaries. Yet they didnt take a moment to lay off employees. Then they forfeited the RSUs which were given to employees for no fault of the employees and final nail in the coffin when they even removed the dependents from coverage of medical insurance, after promising to keep those benefits till the end of the month of termination date. This is a sick company run by sick minded people who talk about lofty principles but have no intention of ever following them
