Pros

-Still hourly, so semi-flexible time off -receive stocks -Low barrier to entry and ability to make ~20$/hr -No physical labor -great health insurance benefits -potential for overtime (although this is now being cut as well) -potential for development without obtaining a degree. Leads can become area managers or move laterally to other L4 roles to increase pay -Decent work/life balance. Schedule consists of 3 11-hour days one week, and 4 11-hour days the next week.

Cons

-Top-heavy leadership who don't actively support the team. Most of the Area Managers and Ops Managers don't actually know how to perform associate level tasks -Because there is so much leadership, micromanagement occurs on most teams. Work is done on computers, so online time, tasks handled, etc are under a microscope. -Overworked leads are more scrutinized and easily thrown under the bus compared to L1 associates. -Disappointing yearly "raises" (less than $1 per hour raise for "top performers") -More tasks are required while additional support is not given. It is common for leads to skip their breaks to complete tasks -Building budget has been severely cut and incentives like weekly doordash meals, lead appreciation meals and gifts are now gone while expectations are increasing -CO office pays less than other Amazon corporate offices, but still higher than many other jobs

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
