- Company is being progressively slower and more bureaucratic over the years placing a greater burden on employees to maintain ability to deliver results - Poor work-life balance, expected to complete same amount of work or even more with reduced headcount - Quality of manager means everything - poor manager means you can be deliberately set up to fail
