Pros

Credit where its due, Amazon provides good benefits- their health insurance is good. Good and flexible options for salary leaders for leave of absence

Cons

New HR folks and college graduates - My largest recommendation, If you are looking for HR role- look at the corporate business lines because those folks do get better treatment. Working in their warehouse sites, it's a job while you look for something better or if it prevents you from being homeless. -Bad workforce at times, you will be dealing with folks that are coming to work but don't care about their performance, don't care about rules and dont care for consequences - we are talking about folks trying to bring a weapon to the workplace or getting into fights at the workplace. -It is very difficult to get promotions and move up to the next roles, at times if your leader doesn't like you or if they find some some barriers in policy or timing of how many can people can be promoted per year- you are stuck. -There are limited opportunities to showcase your skills to senior leadership- they only care about numbers- no direct relationship. -There are times in which leaders in Amazon will ignore you and not help with cultivating an inclusive environment of growth and talent retention. -There is a reason on why Amazon is always hiring, every team has a retention problem. -You will be expected to work 10-12 hrs a day and during prime week, october sales and peak (Nov and Dec) season, don't make plans because you will be at work for most of the time. -Dealing with internal teams can be a big hassle, nobody is at the same page.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
