Pros
Good money for the time that you work. You take a block of time say 4 hours. Go to the station to pick up your packages. Sometimes wait 20 to 30 minutes to be able to park and get boxes sometimes longer. Get your packages and head out. Generally you can complete deliveries in 3 to 3.5 hours of a 4 hour block not always including drive time to the area. You make $18 an hour and you are your own boss. It is a good second income.
Cons
The blocks of time that you can pickup are always changing you cannot plan to use any other apps if you want to rely on Amazon mainly for weekly income. You will work 6 to 7 days a week to get the max hours that Amazon allows which currently is 39.5 hours until the holiday rush. I spent the whole time with Amazon going and delivering packages then bringing back the packages that I couldn't deliver only to get an email string that I did not return undelivered packages that I did not have. I can leave with a full car of packages and go ho,e with an empty car and then Amazon will email me and basically accuse me of stealing packages by not returning them yet I don't have any other packages to deliver. I complete the route that they gave me I have made sure to return any I didn't deliver and they still call me a thief basically. Needless to say they terminated my contract stating that I didn't return packages too many times, packages I didn't have , and I can no longer drive due to these ghost packages the basically said I stole. It is rediculous because you as a driver have absolutely no recourse to refute it you can only email them and tell them they are wrong and explain only to receive an email back stating that their statement still stands and your are a thief. It is good extra money but not worth the headache of the ever changing blocks of time and struggles to get blocks and constant accusations that you are a thief and you just have to deal with it. I haven't stolen anything from them I was happy that I was able to do this job and wanted to continue with Amazon but it's impossible to win over a computer system that is wrong and a management team that just looks at it like no big deal because we have plenty of drivers to replace them with so cut them loose. It is a lame system and poor management not to figure out what's going on to help keep the good drivers. Keep in mind also the homeowners and renters that lie they didn't get their packages and you as the driver take the hit or the apartment complexes you deliver to and place at their front door which can easily be taken and you take the hit if that happens.
