Pros

Tips included with deliveries Active-- you get lots of exercise doing this Fairly easy to do People are nice, overall Pays quickly

Cons

Blocks are impossible to get. You literally have to click all day long for even an hour long block. I have gone weeks without working because of this. Horrible amounts of wear and tear on the car-- I put nearly 300 miles in 2 days of deliveries and made under $200 for the effort, so after subtracting gas, that would mean I made $175. And when you add all the miles in, it equates to just slightly better than a minimum wage job. Some of the pickup locations are horribly disorganized, so, therefore, we can be late for our shifts. Then, when we are late, we are penalized for it. Then amazon can fire you in a heartbeat for these infractions. You do get worked very hard. They don't always schedule enough time to get packages, scan them, and then deliver them on time. They don't put in time for finding apartments that are difficult to locate, people who don't answer the door, so you need to call them and support, or traffic. They leave no time for the natural things that arise on the road. Lastly, while to on the road support is great, the email support needs lots of help. I sent an email and got a response that let me see that they didn't read it at all. Additionally, I have had several emails go unanswered. When this whole job is based on ratings, it is crucial to correct marks that could go against someone and cause them to lose their jobs. But I do not have confidence at all in the email support team.

Pros

Lots of routes available to drive using your own vehicle, both in early morning and in the evenings. Get paid the same day that you drive. Routes are usually pretty tight so you're not doing a lot of long distances between stops.

Cons

Low pay for the amount of miles you'll have to drive. You may average about 20-25 an hour, depending on how long of a block you sign up for. But you'll end up spending at least 1.5 hours pay to put back into your gas tank. You can't choose the area you want to drive in, it's chosen randomly for you. So you could be clear across five counties from the starting point.
