Pros

Working for AWS is a career opportunity ideally suited for a customer service role as it has the largest support center resources in the world. You will get the best training and opportunity to grow and develop your technical support skill sets. They will compensate you in competitive pay and benefits in well being, and offer desirable perks. It was an exciting time to develop while the company expanded at rapid scale in 2014. Great working culture. Leading tech industry giant.

Cons

They do have an industry leading career development plan that is up to you to achieve, but I found it difficult to enable my career growth path and felt at times I was competing against staff members while being highly productive and efficient at meeting KPIs. Culture and Engagement is not a perfect science so you will need to stay for the long haul to meet your aspirations.

Pros

-Great place to learn -Work with some of the smartest people in the industry -Flexibility/autonomy in schedule (not impacted by RTO)

Cons

-Constant reorgs and shifts in leadership: I went through a reorg almost every January and had 6 managers in 2.5 years. Inconsistent leadership makes it hard to feel aligned to a company/team vision or to feel supported. -Promotions are highly political and your manager plays a huge role in whether you advance. Managers rarely have career conversations with reps, which leaves little real path for growth. Good managers want to see their team develop and help them get there. -Comp plan changes reduced sellers' ability to accelerate and lowered pay year over year. Comp plans are dictated by Operations, not Sales Leadership.
