They are actively gutting everything they can to run as lean as possible and provide maximum profits. If the added workload and impossible goals are too much for the skeleton workforce and they quit then that's a bonus because more savings on salaries. RTO is forcing people to relocate or be fired. "Unregretted attrition" is the goal.
