Pros
You can make many friends Close to home if you’re from the north Amazing view out of the window if you’re lucky to have such place
Cons
- No bonuses if you’re lucky you’ll get a promotion of 1-2% - You should report to your manager that you’re late even if you are literally late by only single minute - over crowded offices - class room and public spaces were replaced by more cubics even though the building can host more offices - Very poor work life balance you will work at least 60 hours a week in average and it would NOT look exceptional - You can get promoted only if you have a “good” relationship with your manager - Due to the matrix management, no one will notice you or what you do unless you keep sending “please say thank you” emails to managers - each of your managers tells a different story - You should expect to be on call everyday and should answer and work during the night - Sickness leave should be taken only if approved and you should specify the reason of sickness even though it’s prohibited by the law - Managers care only about their position nothing more - opportunities are not equal for everyone - trophies and awards are awarded to employees who keep flattering their managers and not by their actual performance - politics is the only skill you need - most of the employees don’t have computer science or related degrees while hired as engineers
