Pros

Amdocs Consuling Division was setup to be a competitor for Accenture, however the structure of the company did not allow it to fully compete. It is still a growing organization with opportunity to help grow the new business. Though in these economic times, its hard to gain momentum in selling big projects. The current big telco clients are also tightening their belts, so the ACD division has been hit harder than the CBU. The company had alot of potential, but it will take the senior management to steer the organization in the right direction where it is independent from the corporate big brother.

Cons

ACD partners with Amdocs Corporate development teams. Depending on who won the project, the project is either owned by the consulting division or by corporate business unit. This can lead to alot of internal power struggles, in addition, ACD employees are treated as staff augs rather than true consultants.

Pros

Used to be a great place ro work, Not any more.

Cons

Completely Israel & Israeli focused. Current layong off 30 percent employees globally. But Israel is limited to 10 percent owing to Israeli shareholders. Only global organization in which the entire HR management is in Israel. So Amdocs is not really “global”. The management doesnt know how to become truly global. Most acquisitions are no longer contributing to the revenue. If you are in high cost country except Israel, dont expect growth.
