      Pros

      Nothing comes to mind that I can share. After they acquired my previous firm, they never reached out for us to feel welcome or learn about the firm's culture. During my time working at a client site, I never met anyone from the new company. I was very happy they lost the contract re-compete so I went to work for the new winner.

      Cons

      As part of my exit, I was given a to do list. Missing from that list was a warning that my health insurance plan was aligned with an FSA and not an HSA as has every plan I've ever carried and that I would lose any funds left upon separation. As a result, they got to keep almost $2,000 that I had contributed to the account. This was just one of many issues such as missing 401K funds and leave balances.

      Pros

      Excellent work-life balance with a 9/80 schedule and generous paid holidays. Strong benefits, including a solid 401(k) match. Stable company with good job security supporting government contracts. Supportive team and leadership in my experience. Opportunities to work on high-visibility national security missions. Great place for veterans and those with government or military backgrounds.

      Cons

      Many roles require working in a SCIF with limited flexibility. Career progression can depend on contract structure and available openings. Some processes can be slower due to government customer requirements. Opportunities for remote work are limited depending on the position. Compensation can lag behind private-sector opportunities for certain management roles.
