Pros

Eyewear gift ticket each year Friends and family coupons each year 401k even for part time Paid sick leave for part time (accrued) Commission (limited amount) Flexible scheduling

Cons

Bad Upper Management (GM and above, my assistant manager was great) Not enough help when short staffed and district management didn't care New district manager treats employees like numbers and so do those above him. Sent a passionate email about why I chose to leave after loving and ROCKING a job I've called home for 6.5 years between 2 different locations and essentially got "Yeah, thanks. Good luck." from Fazeel (my DM's boss). GM was constantly unavailable to help / MIA before she left for months on leave. (she was not back at the time of my leaving - due to it being a protected leave, that meant the store was down a full time member of management THAT THE DM DIDN'T CARE TO HELP OUR STAFFING SHORTAGE WITH but instead, jump down our throats about overtime... When we were understaffed prior to her leaving as it was and then worse and then another FT left so.... And he didn't care to help, just breathe heavy over payroll)

Pros

Decent team, regional management did their best

Cons

Abusive patients, extremely low pay. The company's "two for one and a free eye exam" deal is deceptive being that it does not include any lens options other than the bare minimum, and it limits you to a certain section of (very ugly and cheaply made) frames. Patients, upon realizing that this deal was misleading, would often take it out on the staff.
