Pros

- Fairly lax on in-office presence (2/3 days per week) - Annual Bonus is performance based; requires some brown nosing, but can be rewarded nicely (upwards of ~30% base) plus opportunity to get $15k in stock

Cons

- Lack of training or knowledge transfer - If you don't have kids, be ready to take on more work as many people take advantage of the 5/6 months off and they don't backfill - Very small LFO & FP&A presence in AZ; lack of finance opportunities - Rarely backfill roles; redistribute those responsibilities to other colleagues - No room to negotiate raise or salary once hired

Pros

They have fantastic pay for the position you're in, and they teach you interesting and engaging utility of modern technology mixed with legacy fundamentals. I've learned quite a bit while AmEx while getting paid more than fairly - I'd recommend a stretch here to whomever may be reading this!

Cons

The Company is huge, and at times it may take more than a little time to get recognized for your abilities and the growth you've had. There's a reason there is a "only way up is out" reputation exists for some enterprise companies...
