Pros

Comfortable work environment. Flexibility in terms of work life balance is heavily promoted although it depends on your manager. Structured performance review process. A lot of internal job postings happen on a lateral level. Comparatively few promotions. lot of opportunities for employees to upgrade their skills even at an interdepartmental level. Employees are hardworking and determined achievers

Cons

Salary structure is on the lower side compared to other companies of the same level. Technology is outdated compared to industry standards but the level of service and performance expected is extremely high. Most compensation related issues are brushed under the carpet by the HR and management Vast gap in the treatment of Operations and support functions. Company Loyalty is not considered as a trait as HR prefers hiring new inexperienced candidates from external sources at higher packages than promoting internal candidates due to which there is high attrition rate of experienced and potentially loyal employees. Office politics is not discouraged and inter departmental politics is high.

Pros

They have fantastic pay for the position you're in, and they teach you interesting and engaging utility of modern technology mixed with legacy fundamentals. I've learned quite a bit while AmEx while getting paid more than fairly - I'd recommend a stretch here to whomever may be reading this!

Cons

The Company is huge, and at times it may take more than a little time to get recognized for your abilities and the growth you've had. There's a reason there is a "only way up is out" reputation exists for some enterprise companies...
